1. Introduction
Invoice Otter (“invos.app”, “we”, “us”) is an invoicing and business management application offering unlimited invoices, quotes, clients, expense tracking, and Stripe payments for $1.99/month after a 3-day free trial.
By using Invoice Otter, you agree to both these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
2. Use of Invoice Otter
- Create unlimited invoices and quotes
- Manage clients and internal notes
- Track expenses and payments
- Accept payments via Stripe
You must be 18+ and use Invoice Otter only for lawful business purposes.
3. Accounts
- You are responsible for maintaining account security
- Sign up and login are handled via Google OAuth (we do not store passwords)
- We use secure session cookies to keep you signed in
- We may suspend accounts for fraud, abuse, or non-payment
4. Subscriptions & Billing
- 3-day free trial
- $1.99/month, billed via Stripe
- Cancel anytime via your dashboard
- No refunds unless required by law
5. Payment Processing Fees (Stripe)
Invoice Otter uses Stripe to process payments on invoices. To cover Stripe processing costs, we add a 3% processing fee to invoice payments made by the payer (your customer). This fee is charged to the payer at checkout and is intended to offset Stripe payment processing fees; it is not charged to the Invoice Otter subscriber creating the invoice.
Stripe Connect & Payouts
When you connect your Stripe account using Stripe Connect, payments are processed through your connected Stripe account. If you choose instant payouts (where available), we apply an additional 1% fee on the instant payout amount, with a minimum fee of $0.50 per instant payout. This fee is deducted from the payout amount.
Stripe may also apply its own fees, limits, or eligibility requirements for payouts and instant payouts.
6. Data We Collect
- Email, business name, address, phone
- Client, invoice, quote, and expense data
- Uploaded logos (Cloudinary)
- Session and usage data
7. How We Use Data
- Provide Invoice Otter functionality
- Generate PDFs with your branding
- Process payments and subscriptions
- Send transactional emails
We never sell your data.
8. Third-Party Services
- Stripe (payments, Stripe Connect payouts)
- Google OAuth / Google Identity (authentication)
- Cloudinary (logo storage)
- MongoDB Atlas (database)
- Mailjet (email delivery)
9. Your Rights
- Access, update, or delete your data
- Cancel your account anytime
- Request support at support@invos.app
10. California Privacy Rights
California residents may request access or deletion of their data. We do not sell personal information.
11. Limitation of Liability
- Invoice Otter is provided “as-is”
- No liability for indirect or consequential damages
- Maximum liability equals fees paid in the last 12 months
12. Termination
You may cancel at any time. We may terminate accounts for violations. Data may be deleted 12 months after closure.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by U.S. federal law and the laws of Florida.
